Hand Magnet Clap

Preface

Remember the finger magnet, with fingers coming together? And the Balloon Bucket, with the arms outstretched? Now we can go to the next level with magnetized hands and arms, like you’re driving a car with your arm moving on autopilot. I’ll touch your shoulder and hands. Are you okay to do that now?

Induction

Stand with both your hands raised straight in front of your body.

Have your palms facing each other.

Hold them parallel with the elbows stiff.

I’ll place my hand between your hands. Pick out a point on my hand.

Keep your eyes fixed on that point on my hand.

Don’t let your eyes or your attention wander from that point.

Soon you’ll feel your eyes start to get tired and feel heavy.

Once you notice this, you can let them comfortably close.

Keep a picture of your hands out in front of you, and my hand in-between them.

Focus on the feelings in the palms of your hands and fingertips.

Notice if there’s warmth or a tingling sensation in one hand or the other.

Which hand feels more warmth, energy, or tingling? Focus on those feelings.

Recall the picture of the finger magnet, with your fingers coming together.

Visualize your hands coming together.

Don’t consciously try to move them; just make the picture in your mind.

Witness the small subconscious movements your body makes automatically.

Observe small subconscious, jerky movements.

Notice whether it is the hand or the arm causing them to twitch and move closer.

Be aware of the magnetic attraction between your hands, bringing them together.

By the time I count to 3, you’ll feel your hands connect to mine and relax completely.

1: Closer.

2: Almost there.

3: Now.

(Clap their hands together and say:)
SLEEP. Loose, limp, and relaxed, floating, drifting, deeper down. That’s right. Let your whole body be loose, limp, and relaxed as you go deeper into the chair. Relax more with every breath.

Handshake Interrupt 1 - Chakras

Preface

Remember the fingers spreading as you looked at your hands? Now we can go to the next level of ‘look at your hand.’ Is it okay to touch your hand and shoulder while we do this? Are you okay to do that now?

Induction

Are you sure? Shake on it? (Put out your hand to get a handshake. When they raise their arm, take the wrist of that hand with your other hand. Move to their side and direct their focus to their hand in front of their face.)

  1. Look at the palm of your hand. Take a snapshot. Close your eyes.

  2. You have major chakras in your core and minor chakras in the palms of your hands.

    • With your eyes closed, visualize or feel the sensations in your hand.

    • Feel the warm energy in the palm, any tingling or movement.

    • Notice any colors or shapes.

  3. Now your hand is in front of your forehead.

    • As you head down deeper into hypnosis, your hand can head down your body, pausing at each chakra.

    • Notice the energy in your forehead and an indigo. Let your hand move slowly to...

    • Notice the energy in your throat and a blue. Down deeper to…

    • Notice the energy in your heart and a green. Down deeper to…

    • Notice the energies yellow, orange, and red.

  4. As you’re standing there, you can understand your chakras can activate a wise energy that can work for your goals here.

(Guide them to the chair.)

SLEEP. Loose, limp, and relaxed, floating, drifting, deeper down. That’s right. Let your whole body be loose, limp, and relaxed as you go deeper into the chair. Relax more with every breath.

Handshake Interrupt 2 - Instant

Preface

Remember the finger spreading and the watch? Now we can go to the next level of ‘look at your hand.’ This can be an instant way to go into a deeper hypnosis and be an interesting experience.

Is it okay to touch your hand, shoulder, and the back of your neck while we do this? Are you okay to do that now? (As a reminder, if I say ‘sleep’ to you, it means hypnotic sleep, not night sleep. We could also say ‘sleep means slump.’)

Induction

Are you ready to experience hypnosis? Are you sure? Shake on it? (Put out your hand to get a handshake. When they raise their arm, take the wrist of that hand with your other hand. Move to their side and direct their focus to their hand in front of their face.)

  1. Look. Focus. SLEEP. (Eyes closed.)

  2. Look at your hand. Focus on your fingers.

    • Notice the focus of your eyes.

    • As your hand moves towards your face, notice the change in focus.

    • And as your eyes close, SLEEP. (Move their hand towards their face. At the moment their hand touches their forehead, say ‘Sleep.’)

(For people comfortable with contact and who would benefit from extra sensory input: place your hand on the back of their neck and push lightly as you say ‘Sleep’ to encourage their head to slump down.)

Loose, limp, and relaxed, floating, drifting, deeper down.
That’s right. Let your whole body be loose, limp, and relaxed as you go deeper into the chair. Relax more with every breath.

Rapid Induction 1 - Hand Press Static

  1. Pick out a point on the wall. Keep your eyes fixed on the wall.

    • Breathe in. Hold that breath. Release and let go. (Repeat 2x.)

  2. Place your hand palm down on my hand. Press down on my hand.

    • Close your eyes. Watch your breathing.

  3. (Suddenly remove your hand.)
SLEEP! Loose and limp. Relax more with every breath. Let your whole body be loose, limp, and relaxed like your arm. Let your whole body go even more loose, limp, and relaxed now.

  4. Ensure their arm is loose.

    • Let your whole body be loose, limp, and relaxed like your arm. Let your whole body go even more loose, limp, and relaxed now.

    • Loose and limp. Relax more with every breath. Let your whole body be loose, limp, and relaxed like your arm. Let your whole body go even more loose, limp, and relaxed now.

Hand Press 2 - Up Down Butterfly

  1. “Are you ready to experience hypnosis?

    • Look at my fingers. Keep your eyes fixed on my fingers.”

(Move your hand slightly back and forth a few inches from their face, and wiggle your fingers in a butterfly movement pattern.)

  1. “Breathe in. Hold that breath. Release and let go. (Repeat 2x.)

    • Place your hand palm down on my hand. Press down on my hand.

    • Up and down. Up and down.

    • Close your eyes. Watch your breathing.”

  2. (Suddenly remove your hand, so their hand drops a couple of inches and rests on the arm of the chair. Very quickly say:)
SLEEP. Loose, limp, and relaxed, floating, drifting, deeper down. That’s right. Let your whole body be loose, limp, and relaxed as you go deeper into the chair. Relax more with every breath.

  3. (Gently pick up their forearm by the wrist. It should be loose, limp, and heavy. Gently drop their hand back to the arm of the chair and say:)

    • “Let your whole body be loose, limp, and relaxed like your arm. Let your whole body go even more loose, limp, and relaxed now.”

Fist Squeeze

  1. “Are you ready to experience hypnosis? Are you sure?

    • With your eyes comfortably closed, feel your hands at your side. Slowly, slowly bring both your hands into a fist.

    • Notice the slow movement of the fingers and the thumb, and how they come together slowly, and start to squeeze tighter.”

  2. “You can create and bring your attention to any tension in your hands, and squeeze tighter, because you can then soon release any bound-up tension in the fists.

    • Squeeze tighter... and then soon release the fists and any bound-up tight inner tension.

    • So finally tighten the fists... and then... RELEASE.”

  3. “Notice the contrast of a new sensation of relaxation. Loose, limp, and relaxed, floating, drifting, deeper down. That’s right. Releasing more with every breath.”

Palms Press

  1. “Are you ready to experience hypnosis? Are you sure?

    • With your eyes comfortably closed, feel your hands at your side, and slowly, slowly bring both your hands up in front of your lap, with palms facing, and slowly press them together, palms facing and pressing gently but firmly together.”

  2. “Notice the connection of the fingertips and fingers pressing against each other.

    • You can bring your attention to the tension.

    • And you can notice that these two hands are part of you, but apart from you. They can have a mind of their own and press hard against each other, so you spend a lot of energy but get nowhere, or feel blocked.”

  3. “So squeeze tighter... and then soon release the hands and any inner block.

    • So finally push the hands... and then... RELEASE.”

  4. “Notice the contrast of a new sensation of relaxation. Loose, limp, and relaxed, floating, drifting, deeper down. That’s right. Releasing more with every breath.”
