Hypnosis for Addiction – Session One

 

 

 

Welcome to this guided hypnosis session.

Every now and then you are likely to fall into an addiction.

It may be to alcohol, tobacco, social media, drugs, sex, or something completely different.

Like most things, the middle way is the best.

A balance needs to exist.

Whatever you are currently addicted to.

 

My name is Gregory Cadotte, and in this session we will focus on reducing your addiction.

The goal could be to stop completely, but reducing it to a healthy portion, is also enough.

Whatever goal you may have, this session will help you accomplish that.

I want to begin with an invitation to relax

this time is for you, and you alone.

You don't have any obligations or responsibilities here. Instead, we will rely on the power of hypnosis to fix your addiction

 

Before we begin.

I want you to begin by taking a deep breath and close your eyes and find your quiet place, a place free from any potential distractions

for the session, to be powerful and instill permanent change.

I need you to relax completely.

So let us begin the session by manifesting an intention to relax

this by creating a division between your attention and the thoughts you have.

Don't follow. The thoughts, become an observer, and let the thoughts

pass you by.

Observe them without judgment.

Whatever you may think, accept it for what it is.

it is only a thought, nothing more.

If you find yourself falling down a rabbit hole by paying attention to your thoughts.

redirect your attention back to the sound of my voice. When you become aware.

understand that you are not your thoughts, nor are you your feelings.

thoughts, and feelings are something you have.

but they are not something. You are.

By creating a division between you, your thoughts and your emotions.

You'll gain better control. As you can alter your state with purposeful breathing.

 

The breathing technique we will begin with is simple.

I want you to focus on your breath.

Try to see if you can sense the coolness of the air as you breathe in.

and how the temperature changes as you breathe out.

Again, you breathe in - to consist of fresh oxygen.

As you breathe out, more energy is leaving your body.

That's right. Breathe in gently, take long deep breaths.

And if You find your heart beating hard or fast.

That is completely fine.

You most likely have some trapped emotions around your heart that need to be released.

We will do that in just a few moments, but for now continue to breathe.

See yourself breathing in the freshest of air into your lungs.

as fresh as the air, high up in the mountains.

It fills you with an energy so strong that you can feel it washing away any tensions inside your body.

Begin to scan your body, for tense areas

begin to feel your emotions.

your body communicates with you every second.

All you have to do is take the time, and truly listen.

Listen by tuning into your emotions.

Let your body guide your attention

to feelings that need your attention.

Once you've found an emotion, begin to feel it. Don't push it or fight it, simply feel it

while you continue to breathe in the fresh air.

Imagine that the air you breathe in

rush to the troubled area and take away the inhibitions you have.

you can feel it as you focus on the emotion and breathe in.

The feeling seems to evaporate.

It gets released and disappears.

making you feel calmer and more relaxed.

Realize that you have the power over your emotions.

You can do this every time you feel worn out, stressed, afraid, or just tense.

by tuning into your emotions.

Allowing yourself to feel without judgment.

you can become smarter than your emotions.

Emotions dictate our behavior, and especially when we have an addiction.

Emotions act like triggers, causing us to lose ourselves in our addiction.

We may even feel powerless, as if we were a victim of the addiction.

But I'm here to say that all of that can change.

and it will change from this point forward

as you continue to breathe naturally in a gentle rhythm.

I want you to imagine yourself standing in your childhood home.

Imagine that you are standing in the room you grew up in.

See, every piece of furniture in front of you

enjoy the gratitude of revisiting this place.

This place holds so many memories, both good and bad, but today there is a significant change.

In one of the walls you see an opening without a door.

a big hole in the wall that leads to a staircase.

you see the staircase spiraling down in front of you.

begin to walk towards it, walk through the wall of your childhood room, and see the stairs coming closer.

The black handrail shines, and the bright wooden steps have carvings in them.

On each step you see a number being carved into the wood.

and it looks like an ember is active in the lines of the number.

You understand that the wooden steps hold a powerful energy.

You understand that the staircase leads to a different place, a place

where your conscious mind comes to rest, and your subconscious mind begins to wake.

Soon we will walk down the stairs.

I will count down from 8, and, as I say, the last number, you'll reach the surface below.

Trust that you'll enter a deeper state of relaxation with each step you take.

Ready

 

8. Grab the handrail, and begin to walk down the stairs.

7, enter deeper states of relaxation with every step you take.

6.Your conscious mind begins to sleep.

5.Your creative mind and subconscious mind begins to wake

4 feeling, so calm and relaxed. Now

3,all of your muscles are loose.

2.Every bit of tension is gone,

1, completely at ease.

enjoy this moment

enjoy the feeling of peace and harmony within.

No blocks can be found

Instead only a pure flow of energy.

See a red door in front of you.

It has a doorknob that is golden-like, and a sign above it.

The sign, says GATEWAY TO CHANGE

as you approach the door and grab the doorknob.

You begin to understand that you are leaving an old part of you behind

the part that is not serving you or doing you any good.

 

Push the door open. Now.

It looks like a laboratory.

Computer. Screens run along the sides of the circular room, and in the middle is a tube of glass

capable of fitting a full-sized man.

Walk around the room a bit, and take in what you see.

A series of Levers are standing out from the walls with frequent gaps.

Each lever has a sign next to it.

Look up and see the roof way up.

It has to be around 30 feet.

The windows allow the sunlight to slip through.

creating natural light in the room.

Now I want you to focus on the addiction you have.

What type of addiction is it?

See yourself falling victim to the addiction by placing the image of yourself inside the tube of glass.

See yourself indulging yourself in the addictive behavior.

See it vividly.

Now imagine that every lever begins to give away a small light.

find the lever with the sign that says your addiction on it.

Walk around in the room until you find it.

Once you do grab the lever and turn around.

Continue to see yourself in your addicted state inside the tube.

Understand that when you pull the lever down, the addictive behavior will be purified with a powerful energy

energy so forceful, it will wipe away the impulses, and cravings for the addiction

become ready.

hear a deep sound from the walls, the energy is gathering strength.

Soon it will be ready to transform your life.

The sound grows in volume in a few seconds. I want you to pull the lever down.

1, pull the lever down.

hear a whooshing sound. As the energy is released.

the whole tube begins to radiate white light.

You see yourself being penetrated by the powerful energy.

and can feel something inside of you disappearing.

Your attachment to the addiction burns away

completely purified by the white energy.

The cleansing continues, and you understand that soon you are free from the deep cravings.

Slowly the light begins to settle.

You look at yourself in the tube and observe a very calm. You

you are sitting and breathing gently.

as if a weight has lifted from your shoulders and you smile.

This is exactly what you want and need.

Now let us take this opportunity and create a safeguard against any temptations and impulses you may receive.

I want you to change what you see inside the tube.

You don't see yourself anymore.

It is now empty again.

With the help of your imagination.

I want you to manifest the feeling you get when you crave your addiction.

Imagine your desperation and frustration manifesting themselves inside of the tube.

See it as troubled grey energy swirling infrequently.

You can tell the energy is troubled.

Now imagine that you are feeling the energy inside the tube.

It is so similar to an actual impulse and craving.

You can taste the bitter frustration in your stomach, but

you will not act on it.

You simply accept its existence without acting on it.

As you embrace the troubled energy, feeling it completely.

I want you to lift your right hand and grab another lever

by pulling this lever down.

You'll create an inhibition to act

on any temptations that may arise.

hear the same sound in the wall. Once again

energy is building up, and when you are ready, pull the lever down.

That's right.

Take a deep breath in and pull it down.

begin to see how the troubled energy is purified by a white force of energy.

and understand that it is with the power of your breath

that you make the temptation go away.

That's right.

Your breath is your safeguard against acting on any impulses that may arise.

A tool so efficient and easy to use that you won't forget it.

Anytime temptations arise, you will become aware of the necessity to feel the temptation, accept it, and then breathe

as you breathe out, the temptation will lose power over you.

With the help of your breath you'll gain control and power

over the emotions that try to lure you into negative behavioral patterns.

I want you to turn around and focus on the lever you pulled down.

It is active right now, sending purifying energy in sync with your breath.

break it, grab it, and break it into 2 pieces as you do.

It becomes impossible for you to not get a thought about breathing whenever temptations arise.

You now have a strong safeguard against your addiction, always active.

alerting you to breathe and feel the temptation to release it.

 

Now that we're done, we will begin to make our way to the present moment.

Our job here is done.

You've done such an amazing job.

This act has been a true act of self-love.

Care about yourself and your health.

You understood that you needed to change, and so you did

an accomplishment that is worthy of recognition.

Now, begin to leave this room.

Turn your back on the tube in the middle, and see the red door in front of you.

It is still open, waiting for you to pass through it with gentle steps you walk through it.

and the door begins to close itself.

You turn around, getting a final glimpse of the room inside

before reading the sign. Once more:  Gateway of Change.

You've passed the test.

You've instilled a change so powerful your life will change for the better.

Approach the spiral stairs once more

soon I want you to walk up.

but this time you are not walking into your childhood room. Instead, you'll begin to wake up even more

Imagine your staircase moving up.

As I count from 10 to 1, I want you to walk up the stairs in sync with each number.

Ready

10.

Begin to walk up the stairs.

9.

Feel yourself going back to the surface of consciousness.

8.

You are gradually awakening

7. Feeling energized to continue with your day.

6. Becoming ready to wake up.

5, you begin to see the back of your eyelids.

4, almost completely awake. Now,

3. Your body wants to move

2, fully awake, now,

1. wake up, now and open your eyes

that's right, my friend.

open your eyes and continue with your day.

Open your eyes and lead an addiction-free life.

Take care of yourself.
