Positive Reconnect

Session One

Initial Interview:

Have you had any reflections on our last session?

Pre-Talk:

(If the client asks any questions or makes any statements about hypnosis that indicate they have not fully grasped what hypnosis is or is not, give them a short version of the relevant part of a pre-talk.)

Set Intention:

Today we will do hypnotherapy, to regress to past events that can be resources to deal with the therapeutic issues we discussed. Do you agree with that as an intention for today?

Hypnotic Rapid Inductions:

Deepeners - Introduction:

Close your eyes and focus on the sound of this voice. You don’t have to try, just allow yourself to go with the flow.

Breathing:

Begin now by taking 3 conscious deeper breaths.

Breathing in deeper and slower, and exhale, release and let go.

Breathing in deeper and slower, and exhale, release and let go.

Breathing in deeper and slower, and exhale, release and let go.

That’s right, with each breath deeper and deeper.

Muscular Tension and Relaxation:

Now we can tense only the appropriate muscles with energy, but not excess strain. Squeeze the muscles of the feet and legs, tensing and tightening, hold it for 5 seconds… and release it slowly, and observe that relaxation.

Now tense the hands and arms, tensing and tightening all those muscles, hold it for 5 seconds… and release it slowly, observing the relaxation. Relax and let go. Let that tension drain away. Just let your whole body relax.

Count Down Deepener:

Follow the numbers down as I count backwards from 5 down to zero, beginning with 5, feeling the weight of the head, and with your eyes closed, turn your eyes upwards as if looking up towards your 4head, then letting a warm heavy pleasant energy flow down, aware of the air on your skin, and 3 the feeling within, down deeper, into the heart beating, sending warm loving energy through your body, aware of your pulse, flowing down 2 your legs, down to the soles of your feet, heavier and heavier.

Optional:  Letting that heavy, sleepy, day-dreamy feeling take over.2: Remembering a time watching a late-night movie, trying to stay awake but feeling half asleep, with your eyelids so heavy, trying not to close yet closing.1: Feeling relief as you allow yourself to relax completely, tuning into your own inner movie. 0: Slowing down deeper with every breath, heartbeat, and number, now fully relaxed.

Light Body Scan:

Notice the most relaxed part of your body. Let that relaxation grow and flow through you. If that calm, cleansing energy had a color, what would it be? As you breathe in, imagine or feel that color of calm, cleansing energy flow through your body. As you breathe out, imagine or feel that you can breathe out any stress or tension, like a grey color that can go out and dissolve away completely.

Light Protection:

Let your color of calm, cleansing energy grow and go deeper, surrounding your whole body like a healing, protecting cocoon of light, creating a protective layer of light around you.

Staircase:

Imagine, visualize, or feel a staircase with ten steps that can take you down to a door into a safe, comfortable white room where you can access your inner wisdom. Notice the color and texture of your staircase. So start going down the staircase. Imagine or feel your feet stepping down now, going deeper with each step, deeper with every breath.
10, 9, 8, 7 – slow down, deepen – 6, your subconscious – 5, doesn’t mind – 4, getting to the bottom – 3, ready to step in – 2, your white room – with 1, now, be there.

White Room & Place in Nature:

So, at the bottom of the stairs now, reach out to open the door, and find a white room with a comfortable chair. Make it how you like it as you go inside, and settle back into the comfortable chair.

Imagine in front of you there is a cinema screen with a relaxing scene, like a beach, lake, garden, or a favorite place in nature. Once you find your favorite place in nature, imagine moving into that place so you can feel the sun or water on your skin. Notice the colors, sounds, and smells around.

Whether it’s warm sand you can sink into, or warm water you can float on, notice the feeling on your skin and the feeling within, calm, clear relaxation with every breath.

Spirit Guide:

Now you can invite your spirit guide. Send that request now by saying in your mind:
“I ask my spirit guide to come and help me now.”

You might see, hear, or sense your spirit guide. Tell me when they come, or what you sense. Does your spirit guide have a name? What is it?

Set Intention:

Today our intention is to regress to past events that can be resources to deal with the therapeutic issues we discussed because...

Suggestion:

Your subconscious mind can work with you to achieve your goal in a new way, for giving back past resources and for getting past blockages. This is why you are here, in hypnosis, so your subconscious can get the suggestion that you: ________________1_____________________.
(Use the phrase that summarizes what they'd like to tell their subconscious.)

This suggestion can loop around in your mind, consciously or subconsciously, in your inner voice, saying to yourself: _________1___________ (Repeat phrase).

Recap Interview:

You are here to hear these words because you have decided there are issues you want to focus on, which are: ___________2______________. Especially the issue that is your priority of: ____________3_____________.

Old Way on Black & White TV:

You've decided there are behaviors, emotions, and thoughts you don’t want to do anymore of: ____________4_____________.
(Summarize what they put on their Intake Form.)

Imagine those as images on an old, small black-and-white TV. Got it? Now make those images fuzzier and out of focus. Notice any sounds... then turn the volume down. Move that old TV into the distance, getting smaller, quieter. Any old feelings get less as it moves away into the past.

New Way on Color Movie Screen:

Instead, you’ve decided there are new behaviors, emotions, and thoughts to experience of: ____________5_____________.

Imagine those as images on a big, bright movie screen. This can be like a trailer for a movie where you write a new script, and direct and star. Got it? Now make those images clear, bigger, coming more into focus. Add an uplifting soundtrack. Let the behaviors, emotions, and thoughts grow and develop.

Notice the beneficial results that could come from dealing with this issue, like: ____________6_____________. (Summarize what they put on their Intake Form.) Let that get closer, bright and clear, so it sounds good and feels good.

Today is a Turning Point:

This now becomes part of your autopilot inner programming, like learning to drive your subconscious mind, so now you feel more confident and relaxed. As I count from 5 down to 0, with each count, the suggestion that: _______1________ (The phrase to tell their subconscious.) will go deeper and deeper into your subconscious mind and will be very deep at zero.
And now: 5, 4, deeper at 3, 2, 1, and very deep at 0.

Set Intention:

Today our intention is to regress to past events that can be resources to deal with the therapeutic issues we discussed ...starting with times of positive resources in your past.

Water Regression:

Introduction:

In a moment, you can recall or imagine a time in your past when you felt good in or around water. It could be any moment from months, years, or decades ago. It could be a swim in an ocean, river, or lake on a recent or childhood holiday. It could even be a shower from days ago.

Choosing a Memory:

Let one specific moment—a memory of being in or around water—come up now. Choose one. Let that one be the right one. Bring it into focus.

  • I wonder: Is that a place outdoors in nature, or indoors in a home?

  • Is that water warm or cool?

Step Into It:

  • Look around: What do you see?

  • Listen: What do you hear?

  • Notice the feeling of the water on your skin, and the feeling within.

  • How does the water feel—warm or refreshing?

Let the sensation of water soak and saturate through you—warm or refreshing, cleansing and healing. Notice you can recall and relive colors, sights, sounds, and feelings.

Your subconscious picks moments that are meaningful and have teaching stories.

  • We think of ourselves as solid, yet the human body is really 60% water.

  • We think of this as Planet Earth, yet the surface is really 70% ocean.

  • We think of ourselves as our conscious mind, yet our subconscious mind is really the majority.

Now you can tune into your powerful subconscious.

  • How are you feeling there?

  • Where are you?

  • Are you with people?

  • What are you doing?

  • What happens next?

  • Is there a story?

  • What can it tell you?

Childhood Friend Regression:

You can access long-term memory in your subconscious.

Next, you can recall or imagine a moment early in your childhood with one of your first friends. You may not have thought about this person for some time, but now you can recall a first or early childhood friend.

Let one specific moment, with one specific friend, come up now. Choose just one. Let that one be the right one. Bring it into focus.

  • Step into it.

  • Is that friend a boy or a girl?

  • About how old are you both in that childhood moment?

Step Into It:

  • Look around to see what you saw.

  • Listen to hear what you heard.

  • Notice the feeling within.

  • Are you playing?

  • Focus in on the face of one of your first friends.

Connection:

  • Notice how they smile.

  • Hear their voice or laughter.

  • Feel the sense of connection and friendship between you.

Sensation and Reflection:

Let this childlike energy—or laughing, joyful, or playful friendliness—soak and saturate through you.

Insights and Teaching Stories:
Your subconscious can remind you of old friends and positive inner resources. Now you are connecting with your own subconscious; your subconscious mind can be a good friend to you.

Guided Reflection:  (Do not read this to client)

Use these types of questions to shine a light on the story

  • How are you feeling there?

  • Where are you?

  • What are you doing?

  • What happens next?

  • Is there a story?

  • What can it tell you?

Regression - Success:

Your subconscious mind can give you examples of times of success, and the abilities, behaviors, emotions, and thoughts you had.

Search through your personal history for a time and place when you:

  • Had success in the past with this issue, or any directly or indirectly related issue, or any success ever in your life.

  • Perhaps it was a time when you or others recognized your success.

  • Perhaps it was a time when you were just in the flow of an activity, and you didn't realize the outcome would be a success, or that you were actually already successful in the flow of the moment.

  • Perhaps it was a time that helped you understand what the word "success" even mean

  • Success might relate to awards, rewards, and results of actions. Or success might relate to times of small, fleeting moments, but they showed your patience, persistence, compassion, kindness, love, and connection.

I will count from 3 down to 0. At 0, you can recall or imagine any moment with any form of "Success" — days, months, years, or decades ago. It could be an action you did or a feeling you had. It could be a success you realized within yourself or with others, at the time or later.

Drifting back with 3: a specific moment, a time and place in your past with images, sounds, and feelings that can represent success for you.
Coming up with 2, into focus, feeling that feeling with 1, and ready to step into the scene with 0. Now, be there.

First Impressions:

In that moment, what do you see, hear, and feel? Notice where you feel that feeling in your body. Notice your body language. Let that feeling grow, your meaning of success, filling your being.

  • Are you inside or outside?

  • Is it morning, afternoon, or evening?

  • What’s happening there?

  • Are you speaking or silent?

  • How are you feeling?

  • Play it forward: What happens next?

  • Whereabouts inside or outside?

  • Are you sitting, standing, or moving?

  • What are you saying or thinking?

  • How old are you there?

Guided Reflection:  (Do not read this to client)

Use these types of questions to shine a light on the story

  • How are you feeling there?

  • Where are you?

  • What are you doing?

  • What happens next?

  • Is there a story?

  • What can it tell you?

Notice and Describe to Me:

  • What are your behaviors during times of success?

  • What are your emotions during times of success?

  • What are your thoughts during times of success?

Moral of the Story & Insights: (Do not read this to client)

Look for symbolic connections between the moments the subconscious brings up and the issues you had discussed with the client. They are often teaching stories or metaphors that have a message for the client.

Give your client credit for the scene and story they discover, e.g.:

"You have done great in finding a story that reminds you that you have had success in the past with this issue, a directly related issue, an indirectly related issue, or a moment of success in your life.

You have also done great in getting insights into what 'Success' can actually mean. It can be small moments of patience to not do certain things. Success can be there even if it's not recognized as such at the time, or by yourself or others at the time, or until now."

Wrap:

Success can come with certain repeatable patterns of behaviors, emotions, and thoughts. So know that you have rediscovered and reconnected with those abilities inside you, and you can bring them to the forefront and apply them to be successful once again in relation to the issues and priorities we are working on in this program of sessions.

Regression - Relevant Resource

Your subconscious mind can give you examples of times of a specific Relevant Resource that's useful to connect with at this time, to help deal with your issues. This could be a time of an inner ability like:

  1. Confident - I Know I Can Do It

  2. At Peace - Everything Is Okay

  3. Connected - With Myself Or Others

So maybe your subconscious mind knows the specific Relevant Resource that's like a tool or an antidote to face your issues is a time of:

  • Confident - I Know I Can Do It - because your success may come by taking action, to change the things that need to be changed.

  • At Peace - Everything Is Okay - because your success may come by accepting that some things can't be changed, and to come to peace with it.

  • Connected - With Myself Or Others - because your success may come by just reconnecting deeply to your ultimate true inner self, and love, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, and appreciation for yourself and others.

Search through your personal history, for a time and place in the past when you were Confident, or At Peace, or Connected.

I will count from 3 down to 0. At 0, you can recall or imagine any moment illustrating what Confident, or At Peace, or Connected means for you.

Drifting back with 3, a specific moment, a time and place in your past with images, sounds, and feelings of Confident, or At Peace, or Connected. Coming up with 2, and into focus, feeling that feeling with 1, and ready to step into the scene with 0, now, be there.

First impressions, in that moment, what do you see, hear, and feel? Notice where you feel that feeling in your body: Confident, or At Peace, or Connected. Let that feeling grow, filling your being.

In that moment:

  • Are you inside or outside?

  • Whereabouts inside / outside?

  • Does this feel like a time more of Confidence, or At Peace, or Connection?

  • Is it morning, afternoon, or evening?

  • What’s happening there?

  • Are you speaking or silent?

  • How are you feeling?

  • Play it forward: What happens next?

  • Are you sitting, standing, or moving?

  • What are you saying / thinking?

  • How old are you there?

Guided Reflection:  (Do not read this to client)

Use these types of questions to shine a light on the story.  Interview to open story.

  • How are you feeling there?

  • Where are you?

  • What are you doing?

  • What happens next?

  • Is there a story?

  • What can it tell you?

You can bring them to the forefront and apply them to facing and working through the issues and priorities we are working on in this program of sessions.

You Have Made a Lot of Progress So Far:

State Your Goals Clearly:

You have been able to state your goals clearly to your subconscious mind to get the suggestion that you: _________________1____________________.
(Use the phrase that summarizes what they'd like to tell their subconscious.)

Because you have decided there are issues you want to focus on, which are: ____________2___________.
Especially the issue that is your priority of: ____________3_____________.

TV & Movie Visualization:

You've seen the old behaviors, emotions, and thoughts you're moving away from on an old black-and-white TV screen.

You've seen the new behaviors, emotions, and thoughts you're moving towards on a bright movie screen.

Regression to Success:

Next Session Preparation:

Because you have been able to do all this, in the next session, your mind can continue to prepare for and be ready to address and resolve your key issues.

Count Up:

In a moment, I’ll count you up to 5. At 5, you will be able to come back fully into the moment, feeling good.

Coming up with

1: Aware of your body.

2: Aware of the room around you.

3: Moving the fingers and toes.

4: Coming fully back into the present.

5: Feeling good, eyes open, wide awake.

Feel Good?
It does feel good, right?

Time Distortion Check:

How many minutes do you feel you have been in hypnosis? (Make them guess. Does it feel like 5-10 minutes?) It was 60 minutes!

This completes the cleanly formatted version of your script. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to adjust or further elaborate!
